How SC Press handles personal information: what this site measures, who else sees it, and how to reach us about it.

SC Press prints for small businesses and non-profits. It is operated by Studiocomix Press Ltd., 385 Frederick Street, Unit 12, Kitchener, Ontario N2H 2P2. This page explains what happens to personal information on scpress.ca.
What we collect
- When you ask for a quote. The quote form on Get a Quote is run by FormNX (opens in a new tab), and what you type into it goes to FormNX and then to us. Tell us about the job, not about anything you would not want in an email.
- When you contact us. If you call (519) 954-3232 or email hello@scpress.ca, we keep what you tell us so that we can answer and, if you go ahead, so that we can print the job.
- When you book a session. The booking calendar is TidyCal (opens in a new tab), which collects the name, email address and time you give it.
- When you join the newsletter. The list is run by SendFox (opens in a new tab), which stores the first name and email address you enter and the fact that you subscribed. Every message we send carries an unsubscribe link, and it works.
- When you visit this site. Nothing, unless you accept analytics. This site uses Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and neither loads until you agree to it — the tags sit inert on the page until you choose. Decline, and no script is fetched and no cookie is set. You can change your mind at any time from the banner.
Like every web server, ours records the address of each request, the browser making it and the time. Those logs keep the site working and secure.
How we use it
We use what you send us to answer you, to quote for work, and to run the job if you go ahead. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone outside the services below.
Who else sees it
Only the services that run the site: our web host; FormNX, for a quote request; TidyCal, if you book; SendFox, if you subscribe; and Google, if you accepted analytics. Some of them store information outside Canada, where the laws of that country apply.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and quote requests are kept as long as they are useful, and then deleted. If you become a customer, we keep what the work and our tax obligations require. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@scpress.ca and we will answer. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (opens in a new tab).
